BIO. My name is Crystal Rodriguez. I was fortunate to drown in a pool of art at a tender age. Life is one big canvas that we are painting with the actions and experiences of our own individual lives. I plan on leaving behind my artistic mark by becoming a tattoo artist and continuing my passion for being photographed and being the eye behind the lens. I base my life on the knowledge I have gained from my past. I try to learn from my mistakes, but sometimes I fall and slip right back into them. I am everything except symmetrical. I am both loving and aggressive; sexual and pristine; pessimistic and optimistic; fun and boring; outgoing and shy. I am walking piece of abstract art. I am currently attending Cal State Fullerton as an art major and I soon plan to double major in nutrition. I also have a passion for pin up modeling and pin up art. I embrace the body figure of a woman from the 1940′s and 50′s. The body is a beautiful thing, whether it is tattooed, pierced, exposed, or pristine. I enjoy meeting people that have a strong passion for what they do and what they believe. I am Crystal Rodriguez. Nice to meet you.
FAVORITE HORROR MOVIES. Frankenstein, Dracula, Ginger Snaps, The Convent, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
FAVORITE HORROR LITERATURE. Frankenstein is my favorite book in the entire world! Dracula and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are also extremely high on my list of great pieces of literature.
THE GHOUL GIRLS. Ghoul Girls is original and creative. It’s fun yet a challenge because we are trying to recreate some of the greatest, most classic, horror films. The crew is amazing and everyone is extremely supportive of one another.
LOVE OF HORROR. It can give you an indescribable chill down your spine when you least expect it.
FAVORITES. I’m an artist. I enjoying creating new pieces of artwork and i use a variety of mediums, such as ink, paints, charcoal, and pencil. I love going to shows and I do not mind getting kicked in the face with a boot, while I’m in the pit. Among other things, I like dancing, the company of my cat, Frost, and reading.
DISLIKES. People who use the word “gay” in a derogatory manner because they can not think of anything clever to say. Woman who buy purses that cost 400 dollars. Pants that are pre-ripped and claim to be “new”. Woman who are consumed by the media and feel that they are never good enough because they do not look like a corpse. Racists and people who are homophobic.
