The Mummy

BIO. I’m a Mom. A writer. A overachiever. An art enthusiast. In other words, I’m a tattooed geek and proud of it. I have my Bachelor’s in English Literature and I have a Master’s Degree in English Rhetoric and Composition. I was a freelance writer for over 5 years but I finally have a permanent home at Tattoo Savage Magazine and contribute regularly to our sister publications Tattoo and rebel Rodz. If I wasn’t busy enough, I am also the promoter for Ink For A Cause, a body art show for charity (www.inkforacause.com). I am a very passionate person when it comes to standing up for what I believe is right and just. I work very hard and at the end of the day I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far.

FAVORITE HORROR MOVIES. Hellraiser, The Evil Dead, The Lost Boys, Carrie, A Nightmare on Elm St., The Silence of The Lambs, Seven, High Tension, Cemetery Man, Exorcist, The Crow, and I am absolutely obsessed with Dexter.

FAVORITE HORROR LITERATURE. Poe. Alice Sebold is a contemporary author whose novels are on the creepy side, love her style. H.P. Lovecraft of course.

THE GHOUL GIRLS. I love being apart of The Ghoul Girls. It’s a fun and very creative way of bring glamour and beauty to someone thought of as sick and twisted. I can’t wait to do some more shoots. The art of creating a horror character in a classic pin-up form is ingenious.

LOVE OF HORROR. I do like horror, haven’t always. As a child, I saw horror as “scary.” Now I appreciate it as an art form. The creativity that goes into the genre is mind-blowing. The sets, the characters, the make-up, special effects, the gore, it’s all intriguing and now I appreciate what goes into a great slasher scene.

FAVORITES. Writing, reading, tattoos, live music. Starbucks, Half.com, Netflix, creme brulee, brand new socks, traveling, and sleeping in.

DISLIKES. Vegetables, onions, bad grammar, panty lines, cats and bad pick up lines.
