Feature: Inkerbella

I sat down with, our model, Inkerbella recently and we talked about all sorts of things in her life and modeling. Take a look!

How did you first get into modeling and how long have you been involved in it?
I started modeling in January 2006! I was actually discovered by Jeff Davidson of Cosmic Frog’s Photography, on myspace. He emailed me and asked if I was interested in doing a photoshoot for his web site. www.thefemalecanvas.com
I was so excited! This was something I always wanted to do! The shoot was so fun and I went back again in 2006 for a second round with Jeff. In late 2006 I decided to check into ways to work with other photographers too! I found Model Mayhem and have gotten the chance to work with so many amazing and talented photographers! I have learned something new from each one. To all the those photographer’s out there that I have worked with, THANK YOU for all you do! Getting dirty, sweaty and getting hand cramps. LOL. I really do appreciate all you do for me!
A special Thanks to Jeff Davidson for helping me get started down this amazing road!
Currently I’m more focused on working with companies. So far I’ve worked with Medusa’s House of Dreads, Domination Clothing and Coffin Color Make up. I also have 2 more companies in the works!! Be on the look out!

Interview with Spookhaus: The Artist of Darkness

“The Artist of Darkness”…at a glance by Chrissy Lynn.

Music moves us and evokes love, sadness, joy and even fear. Whether it’s a melody from an antique music box, the eerie strings of the violin, or the taunting keys of the Piano, it can strike terror into our very hearts or even put us in the mood. “The Artist of darkness” has done just that. Gastown, British Columbia’s very own SpookhauS also known as Bruce Campbell (No relation to the boom-stick bad-ass from Army of Darkness & Evil Dead). SpookhauS has definitely put Ghoul-Girls in the mood. Which is why we’re revealing more than just our mini-skirts and stitches by asking him a few questions of our own. He was ever so eager to surrender those answers and we are pleased to submissively give them to you

Femme Fatale: Miss Horrorfest, Victim

From time to time we will feature a different woman who has got what it takes to be a Femme Fatale. This time we feature Miss Horrorfest 2009, Victim as she is known, enjoys being beaten to death, long walks on the plank, and enjoying a good bloodbath from time to time. All this and she still manages to promote After Dark Films Horrorfest.

Ghoul Girls: Hello, Vic Tim. It is such a pleasure to have you with us today! You’re my hero.

Victim: Bleedings, Ghoul Girls. Thank you. It’s such an honor for you to meet me.

Ghoul Girls: You’re so cute. So, tell us, what are some of the official duties of Miss Horrorfest?

Victim: Aside from being a total bad*ss, Miss Horrorfest is the official spokeswoman for After Dark Films. Every year After Dark brings you Horrorfest, a festival of 8 independent feature length horror films shown in theatres across America for one week only. We call them 8 Films to Die for and my job is to get the info out about these movies by being a total media whore. I do convention appearances, internet, TV, radio…

Femme Fatale: Demon

From time to time we will feature a different woman who has got what it takes to be a Femme Fatale. This time we feature Demon a sexy killing machine who does her best to steal the hearts of millions, by ripping it out of their chests, one victim at a time.

Ghoul Girls: Thanks for talking with us Demon, how have you been darling?

Demon: no problem! Ive been quite dandy! thanks for asking.

Ghoul Girls: First an alternative model with her own book out, how did you get into it?

Demon: It might seem kind of selfish or even conceited, but I was kind of tired of being asked the same questions over and over again. From girls who want to know how to get into the modeling industry, posing tips, and even some style advice. I finally decided to make a book constructed of my own personal steps towards modeling. I’m not saying that I am THE BEST alternative model, because even I am still learning – so I plan to come out with a revised addition soon ;)

Femme Fatale: RedVamp

Each month we will feature a different woman who has got what it takes to be a Femme Fatale.  First off, we apologize that this months feature was a little late in coming. This month we feature a classic horror vixen who goes by the name of RedVamp.

Ghoul Girls: Thanks for joining us on this frightful evening, how are you doing?

RedVamp: Good, thank you.  Thanks for choosing me as a Femme Fatale!

Ghoul Girls: We know you have been modeling for a long time now, what got you started?

RedVamp: I’ve modeled on and off since childhood, but got involved in alternative or gothic style modeling in 2001.  It was as simple as putting up a website with a portfolio and then receiving inquiries from magazines, designers, websites, and artists that wanted to use me as a model.

Ghoul Girls: How hard is it to maintain that long natural red hair of yours?

RedVamp: I’ve had long hair for over 20 years so I’m very accustomed to the maintenance.  Being that it is all one length and it’s natural color, I think it is probably much easier to care for than someone who has to maintain a cut and color.

Photo by Josh CadwisingGhoul Girls: Welcome Shannon, Thank you for taking time away from your busy schedule to talk with us. How are you doing today?

Shannon Lark: I’m doing awesome! Thanks for asking!

Ghoul Girls: Your a very busy woman, how do you find time to be a professional scream queen, gore girl, and producer?
Shannon Lark: I have an executive Assistant, horror filmmaker Michelle Fatale. Film work is nothing that someone can do alone, so I get plenty of help from her-tying up the loose ends and helping me organize. She is truly a saint and one of the best rising female horror filmmakers out there.

Basically, I designate every single waking moment to the horror genre. I’m tired allot and excited allot. And sometimes I just have to fall down. A strong support system has been built around me by caring people to make sure I get enough rest.

Ghoul Girls: Greetings Spyder Baby, how are you doing this fun and frightful evening?

Spyder Baby: Hi there I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of this site!

Ghoul Girls: I know this is an all to familiar question, but how did you get started in modeling?

Spyder Baby: How did I get started into modeling, well that’s a fun story that seems a lifetime ago! I was 18 and answered a casting for a Destructive Metal band called Doomsday, they were offiliated with Chaos Comics and looking to add some wicked creative girls to the mix. So I met with the singer and we were instant friends and I then had a group of girls together called the demon girls and we all had our character to play in the show. We did lots of promostuff skits on stage and helped out with Chaos Comics whenever they needed us it was a blast! I took a break for awhile but have been back in full swing!
